About us

Yoga Internships Colombia is a project run by Flying Tree Yoga, a multinational Yoga community based in the city of Medellín, Colombia. We provide a space where students from a range of different cultures and backgrounds can celebrate life through sharing their diverse practices. We offer certification programs for Yoga Teachers, as well as a range of further education options, language courses and internships for qualified teachers.

Meet our team!

    “Yoga doesn’t just provide us with physical and mental wellbeing, but also a sense of peace and joy. Yoga allows us to celebrate life!”

    Andrew is the owner of Flying Tree, and a teacher trainer specialising in alignment based yoga flow. After teaching different languages across the world, he decided in 2014 to dedicate himself to spreading the teachings of Yoga into Latin America and beyond. He believes in empowering individuals to find their own path and unique approach to yoga. His interests include getting hands on with adjusting and assisting, Thai bodywork, mindfulness meditation, Classical Yoga, Tantra and Buddhist philosophy and the Spanish language.

    “My Yoga classes are focused on the alignment of the physical body, connecting breath and movement and relaxing the mind so as to be in the here and now. It is here that we can connect with our true essence.”

    Andrea is a senior teacher at Flying Tree, and a teacher-trainer specialising in alignment based Hatha Yoga. She has been helping lead teacher trainings in both English and Spanish in a number of schools in Medellín. Her interests include the energetic body and chakras; bringing yoga to beginner level students and helping guide new teachers along their path.

    Nathalie is a yoga teacher, energy coach and lover of essential oils and crystals. Trained in Hatha Raja yoga with Andrei Ram and Hatha yoga with the Yogini, her experience and practice in yoga are based on the use of conscious breathing as the basis for our movement. By becoming aware of how we are breathing, we allow ourselves to access each posture more gently. Yoga has allowed her to walk her own path with confidence and has given her the opportunity to connect with wonderful communities!

    Nathalie specializes in working with our trainees on their language skills and gaining confidence in Spanish.
